For What Reason Your Baby Needs To Wear A Swim Nappy In The Pool

When you think about water safety the first thing that without doubt will pop into your head is drowning. To be honest it is for sure one of the highest risks when swimming but there is more. Germs can dirty pool water and can cause RWI - recreational water illnesses.

These illnesses are spread by drinking pool water that has been contaminated. Contamination is spread when someone's feces gets in the water.

I know that the germs provoking these RWIs get destroyed by the chlorine in the pool water but that doesn't happen right away after an accident. Some germs like Crypto can exist longer than a day in chlorinated water.

As infants and some toddlers are not fully potty-trained most pools request that they wear a swim diaper approved by the CDC.

Swim nappies are not like regular diapers as they do not take in water. What they are supposed to do is to contain any solid waste in. Although it is true that swim nappies do not guarantee non-leakage on 100% if used with some precautions they will block out the germ spread.

You can select from disposable and reusable swimmer diapers to buy. The two have their advantages and downsides but I personally advise using the reusables.

The reason I like better reusable swim diapers is they are much cheaper in the long term though the beginning investment may seem large. In fact your kid will need only two or three washable swim diapers so you can change them if there has been a poo accident.

You can machine wash them with other clothes and towels. I wouldn't encourage that you put your child in a normal cloth diaper cover. In most cases it will do the same work but the chlorine in the water will destroy the fabric.

If you are sick of the thought of washing a soiled diaper than you should go for the disposable alternative. Disposable swim diapers come in packs as regular and you throw them away after each use. I wouldn't suggest using a sposie more than once though it can bear a couple of laundry cycles.

The negative aspect of using disposable swimmer diapers is they will need more room in your bag and they are really costly.

When you go shopping for swim nappies you should keep some critical checkpoints in your mind.

A great swim diaper should be comfy, not difficult to put on and pull off when dirty and should be made of a delicate fabric that won't give your baby a rash. My recommendation is to choose an adjustable swimming diaper, there are options with Velcro, snaps and strings so it fits snugly the baby's body.

Both reusable and disposable swim nappies have a great assortment of colors and designs to choose from. Particularly if you have a baby girl you may find it tough to choose only one or two as they are so adorable.
